At DMC we are committed to minimising our environmental footprint, striving to improve and supporting the long-term sustainability of our environment.
This includes auditing and monitoring our activities in line with best practice. We operate in compliance with all laws, regulations and statutory obligations and controls for environmental protection. We continually strive to improve our environmental performance and innovation toward action for improvement.
Environmental Responsibility
Resource Efficiency
We employ advanced technology and a modern fleet of plant and equipment to maximise resource extraction efficiency and minimise waste. By optimizing our operations, we reduce the environmental footprint of our quarrying activities.
Biodiversity Conservation
We recognise the importance of biodiversity and are committed to protecting local wildlife habitats. Before commencing any quarrying activities, we conduct thorough environmental impact assessments to identify and mitigate potential impacts on flora and fauna. We recently installed a number of hardwood wildlife nest boxes to provide native arboreal habitat features.
Land Rehabilitation
We believe in giving back to the environment. Our quarrying process is planned with land rehabilitation in mind, ensuring that once extraction is complete, the land is restored to a natural or economically usable state. We engage with ecologists and land rehabilitation experts to implement revegetation and other land reclamation projects.
